The Water Squad, with help from all the students and staff, have been busy continuing to work on our One Good Idea project. As part of learning more about water, we visited the local waste water treatment plant in Clonlea on Friday 17th February. Here, we learned how waste water in Kilkishen is cleaned and treated and returned to Clonlea lake. The children were given a guided tour by Michael who explained all the processes that the water goes through. The sludge was of particular fascination (except for the smell of course!!!) Again we would like to thank Mike Hogan who organised the visit and who accompanied us on the day. We would also like to thank Michael O'Brien for kindly lending us his photography and filming skills. Keep an eye on the website to see what we have planned next to keep spreading our message that Saving Water Saves Energy!
