Last year's Bake Sale was a huge success so we are hoping for a repeat of that this year. It will be open to parents from 2pm-2:40pm and it will be held in the Staff Room of Kilkishen N.S. We are seeking baked donations which can be dropped to the school from Thursday the 25th May. Please do not include any items that contain or 'may contain' peanuts. Please buy some delicious baked goods and donate on the day as all proceeds will be used to help support the cost of our school tours. There will also be a raffle on the day. We hope to see you all then!
Well done to all that took part in our Cycle to School events this week to celebrate Bike Week. Thank you to everyone that supported and joined us along the way.

The boys played some great hurling in making it to the knockout stages with matches against Broadford N.S., Ogonelloe N.S. and Parteen N.S. We look forward to the semi-finals later this month.
Congratulations to Abbie Davey who won a trip to The Planet for her class after winning an art competition at Easter time. First and second class had a great day out on Friday when they travelled to the Fairgreen Playground in Ennis where they had a picnic and lots of fun. They finished the day with laser tag and soft play at The Planet. Have a look at some of the fun they had! We are delighted to announce that we have received our 5th Green Flag this year for Biodiversity! The flag was presented to Kilkishen N.S. at an awards ceremony in the Galway Bay Hotel in Galway yesterday. Miss Fawl and Mike Hogan attended along with our excellent representatives from our Green Schools Committee, Natasha and Leah. All of the Green Schools Committee and indeed every class in the school, worked incredibly hard over the past two years to earn our school this flag. We are so proud of all your hard work. Well done. A special thank you to Mike Hogan who received a special long-term commitment award for 10 years of dedication to the Green Schools Programme. Mike gives his time voluntarily and is always happy to help us which we really appreciate. Congratulations to Second Class pupils that made their First Holy Communion at Kilkishen church on Saturday May 6. Thank you to Fr. Donal for celebrating the cermony and to Ms. McNamara for coordinating the beautiful music and singing on the day. Thank you also to Mr. Walsh and Caroline Madden for their efforts in preparing the pupils for the very special day. The Parents Association Committee and volunteers hosted an after communion reception for families back at Kilkihsen N.S. where a beautiful communion cake, donated by Noni Donnellan, was enjoyed by all. Thank you to parents, pupils teachers and extended families for making the day such a memorable and special occasion. Each week pupils are asked to remember 3 important rules: 1. Show Respect 2.
