Pupils from 5th and 6th classes performed "Away With The Manger" a Christmas nativity comedy at Kilkishen Cultural Centre on Tuesday evening last. The play tells the story of two jewel thieves that carryout a robbery and hide their takings in a Christmas manger. Thankfully a "clueless" detective is on the case to help solve the mystery of the stolen jewels. The audience present on the night were entertained with great performances, singing and a fun take on the Christmas nativity. Thank you to everyone involved and those that attended on the night. The children in senior inafants and first class have been very busy preparing for Christmas. The class made nativity cribs using egg cartons, straw, paint and the children had fun with clay modelling to produce clay figures to insert into their handmade cribs.
The children then learned the procedure of how to wrap their present or gift for that someone special!
3rd and 4th Class, Miss Fawl, Pauline and Caroline are feeling very festive thanks to the fantastic artistic talents of Miss McLean. The children were thrilled to have the opportunity to paint the Christmas scenes that she drew on our classroom windows. We love the finished displays and we bet you do too! Christmas fairies and elves had left a Christmas tree in their classroom because they observed all their good work throughout the term. They left a beautiful letter telling the children to decorote the tree with the wonderful decorations they made in art class.
