The following students were selected by their class teachers for exceptional effort as the "Stars of the Week" last week. Each pupil tried their best, showed respect and completed their homework each day. Congratulations to all pupils that managed to be in the running for the awards in each class. Keep up the good work and watch out for this week's winners! 32 pupils from Kilkishen N.S. took part in the East Clare Cross Country Championships held at Lee's Road on Tuesday September 24. Cross country teams were made up of 6 athletes from U/8/, U/10 and O/10 boys and girls categories. Kilkishen N.S. athletes performed exceptionally well and medal winners on the day that now qualify for the Clare finals included Callum Casey, Charleigh McInerney, Alex Davey, Eoin Shanahan, and Emma Zimmermann. Well done to all the athletes that took part and a special thank you to Martina O'Hagan for her help coaching the pupils for the event. Parents and guardians are asked to read the letter below regarding the introduction of Aladdin Connect, a new school administration service which enhances school communication. Thank you. The boys and girls from 1st and 2nd class recently went on a nature trail on the lookout for signs of autumn. After the autumn leaf hunt, the children enjoyed creating autumn art together in groups back in the classroom. Take a look at their marvelous creations!

The students of Kilkishen have started off the year with a bang. We have signed up to the daily mile challenge which is spearheaded by Kilkishen's own Séan Hehir. The daily mile challenge aims to increase fitness in school children. The students of Kilkishen have really enjoyed it so far and we hope to rise to the challenge each day.
