Junior and Senior Infants have been very busy this week. Firstly, the children completed activities as part of Friendship Week. They discussed the qualities of a good friend before working in pairs to design a ‘Friendship Chain’. They wrote one or two words to describe a good friend on each ‘person’ and decorated it for a display in the classroom. The children also created posters for the ‘National School Attendance Campaign’. Children drew pictures of their favourite aspects of school in order to promote coming to school everyday and on time e.g. Astroturf, Maths, Art, Reading etc. These were displayed on a large poster outside the classroom. The children learned about The Easter Story in Grow in Love. To celebrate the feast, they made bunny and chick masks as well as some Easter baskets. They filled these baskets with yummy Easter eggs from the Easter Egg Hunt they had in class today 🍫🥚 After hurling with Killian in the new Astroturf, they enjoyed a party and a movie as a treat before the holidays. The children had a fun-filled week. Enjoy the well earned Easter break 🐣🐰 Comments are closed.
